Gold on Metal Clay Workshop

DATES and TIMES June 24 & 25, 2023

10 am to 2 pm

In this workshop you will learn Keum Boo- a korean gold fusing technique using gold foil on textured metal clay.

This will be  TWO DAY workshop

First day will be creating 2 pieces using texture to create a back plate of fine silver using metal clay techniques. 

The 2nd day will be application of Keum boo a korean gold foil fusing technique. 

Using a beehive kiln you’ll learn how to apply good foil to fired metal clay. I’ll explain burnishing, tool’s you’ll need & more.

What is included-

20 gm of Art Clay Silver

2 day’s instruction on metal clay texturing, firing & building with keum boo techniques. 

Use of all metal clay tools & textures at the studio as well as beehive kiln & burnishing tools to fuse gold.

Written instructions to use at home
