HERSTORY
I can't remember a time when I wasn't making things. I started early with my first "job" in the 5th grade where I helped a woman sew her small soft dolls. I loved them and the holding/sewing of these hand made dolls. As my life evolved I became a nurse, married, had children, worked in nursing, development & now jewelry full time. I enjoy working with my hands and teaching. I love reconnecting people with their natural creativity.
I have been learning the art of silversmithing for about 13 years now. I started with my first class at Oregon College of Arts & Crafts in Portland, OR and have taken more than 28 workshops on metal smithing & precious metal clay since. It's been a fun hobby up until now & what a leap of faith to try and make it a business. Five years ago I finished the Level 1 certification for Art Clay World to start teaching precious metal clay & the art of that medium. In the spring of 2020 I completed Camp PMC and I am also certified in PMC. I can't wait to share the fun of shaping clay that turns into solid silver.
